SecureNest is an alternative to insurance designed to satisfy certain insurance obligations in your lease. If your community has chosen SecureNest you may be provided a low-cost rate to make it easy for you to meet these requirements.

Please refer to your lease to understand exact insurance requirements for your community. Most typically, apartment communities require that tenants obtain insurance to protect the community against damages for which you are responsible including fire, smoke, explosion, backup or overflow of sewer, and water.

If your community utilizes SecureNest, your approval to live in the community automatically qualifies you to enroll, and you will be automatically enrolled at the time you sign your lease.

SecureNest includes coverage for your personal belongings up to $5,000. The coverage extends to specified named perils and may be narrower than a traditional renters insurance policy. Please be sure to read the terms and conditions fully and carefully.

You will be automatically enrolled at the time you sign your lease. Your Renter’s Coverage fee may be itemized and included with your monthly rent payment.
